Local veterans are encouraged to attend Centenary’s annual Veterans Day Tribute on Friday, November 11.
Veterans Day has been observed on this date in the United States for more than 100 years, with the first celebration occurring on November 11, 1919.
The solemn ceremony honoring the service and dedication of all veterans will begin at 11:11 a.m. in Anderson Auditorium, Hurley School of Music.
The tribute is free and open to the public.
Brigadier General Robert W. VanHoy II, mobilization assistant to the commander, Ninth Air Force (Air Forces Central), will be the keynote speaker for the tribute.
