Ferris Wheel lights, funnel cakes, and family fun will all be part of the 2023 Gregg County Fair. The fair is celebrating 74 years of providing entertainment from September 8 – 16. The large community event will occur in Longview at the Gregg County Fairgrounds.

The fair tradition brings live music, shopping and food vendors, a carnival, and much more for families to enjoy. “Our fair really has something for everyone. It is a place where generations of one family can have a good time; that’s what the Gregg County Fair is all about,” says Billy Clay, Gregg County Fair General Manager.

With your gate admission, you will get to enjoy live music. Regional artists like Kim Donnett, Darby Warren, and Josh Davis – Elvis Tribute will entertain the crowd.

Other free activities with your ticket are the Emerson Farms pig races and petting zoo. Fairgoers will have access to all the food vendors, carnival rides, and shopping booths.

The Miss County Gregg Pageant is always a crowd favorite. All contestants represent the seven area high schools and will receive a scholarship.

The Pageant brings out the student body from each school, making the night a fun evening of school spirit. Our 2022 Miss Gregg County is Elle Woods, from Longview High School, and she will be ready to coronate her successor on Thursday, September 14.

The Amusement Midway Providers (AMP) will bring 25 rides and dozens of games this year. The carnival has been on a summer run that has taken them From Oklahoma to North Dakota.

Their rides include both kiddie and thrill-seeking rides. Air-Maxx, Vertigo, and Zero Gravity are just a few rides that will get your adrenaline going.

The fair food choices are plentiful. Turkey legs, ribbon fries, and funnel cakes are some fairgoer favorites. Deep-fried candy bars, fried Oreos, and Twinkies will tantalize your tastebuds. The Gregg County Fair fills you up from Corn in a cup to meatball sandwiches!
