Daytime Playtime

Daytime Playtime was founded by certified teacher and speech-language pathologist Shannon Ali, M.A., CCC-SLP.

We help children 0-6 catch up or get ahead of the curve through play.

Daytime Playtime focuses on literacy skills, kindergarten readiness, and speech therapy.

We empower parents by providing guidance and teaching them how to easily work with their child at home.

At Daytime Playtime we believe that parents can be the best teachers when given the right tools.

Literacy is FUN! We strive to help your child catch up to age level reading skills or get your child ahead of the curve.

Classes promote play and movements to help students learn letters and sounds as they explore phonological awareness, phonics, and other reading skills.

Daytime Playtime students also learn to set goals and work to achieve them. In each class, we review, we practice and we introduce new skills.

This can lead to comfort and confidence in many other academic related activities.

Daytime Playtime literacy classes can provide a lifetime of loving to learn. Your child can also make new friends in our small group classes.

We provide a Nearpod literacy lesson on phonics, phonemic awareness, and phonological awareness to all of our new parents, so you can understand the reasoning behind WHY we use the strategies we use.

Daytime Playtime also provides each family with a log in for our online platform. Students will have "homefun" assignments to complete between lessons to help with carryover of the skills learned in our lessons.

We truly believe parents can be the BEST teachers if they have the right tools.
