Sportspectrum will hold its 39th annual Firecracker 5k Race for Research on Tuesday, July 4 in Shreveport. The 5k (3.1 miles) will start and finish at Mall St. Vincent parking lot, directly behind Sears. The Kids Fun Run is a 1/2 mile. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 7:30 a.m., and the 5k will begin at 8:00 a.m.
The race will proceed through the historic South Highland subdivision, one of Shreveport's oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods. This is a scenic and challenging road race for runners, walkers and sightseers. Donations will directly benefit the Title Sponsor, Spine Institute of Louisiana Foundation.
