Project SOAR (Screen Often and Accurately Refer), a Louisiana project focused on compensating parents, guardians, and caregivers, across the state to help us learn about their experiences with screenings, referrals, and follow up during prenatal and well-child visits.
Project SOAR is currently seeking families to participate in this project.
Candidates must
- Live in Louisiana or have lived in Louisiana in the past 4 years
- Have at least one child under the age of 4
- Have gone to some of all of their child’s well-child check-ups with a doctor or nurse in Louisiana
Families will be asked to share their experiences receiving:
- Caregiver depression screenings during prenatal visits
- Caregiver depression screenings during the child’s well-child checkups
- Developmental screenings during well-child checkups for children you care for under 4 years
- Referrals and follow-up services in response to these screenings
Along with the information listed above, Project SOAR strives to provide a platform where families and providers can identify the services important to them, any obstacles to receiving screening and follow-up, and ideas to strengthen the screening services provided in Louisiana.
Participants will be compensated $50 to complete a one-time questionnaire and the entire survey should take between 30-45 minutes to complete in one sitting in order to receive compensation.
