1. Logan Mansion
This gorgeous Victorian home is downtown right across from the Municipal Auditorium on Austen Place. It's beautiful in its own right, but also offers a view of what has come to be known as "The True Blood House" or the Ogilvie-Weiner House right across the street if you're a True Blood fan. Located just off the edge of downtown Shreveport, you could rent the Logan Mansion master suite for the weekend OR if you have family or want to do something SUPER neat, you could rent the entire home for the night! Robinson Film Center, MiniCine, Artspace, The Strand and the Municipal Auditorium are all close by giving you a ton of fun options to explore. Stop by and take pictures with the fun public art in the area as well from local artists and enjoy their murals. Don't miss the giant lit sculpture "Art the Dog" at the Shreveport Regional Arts Council! This home is so beautiful and full of history, I'm sure you'll enjoy an evening just taking in its ambience and beauty.
2. Kallenberg Artists Tower
Enjoy a night or weekend away in the West Edge of Downtown Shreveport in what may be the MOST unique destination in the area. The Kallenberg Artist Tower is a part of the Shreveport Regional Arts Council and art itself, both inside AND out. Located just beyond the giant dalmation sculpture "Art the Dog," the KAT Tower has a view like no other with its light up color changing flame that sits at the very top of the apartment where you can enjoy the view of downtown Shreveport in one direction and Shreveport Common in the other. This unique offering has its own kitchen and observation deck making for the niftiest night on top of the town. You can literally be a part of ART during your stay!
3. Remington Suite Hotel
Known as Shreveport's "Boutique Hotel," The Remington Suite Hotel is simply beautiful. It has gorgeous views of downtown Shreveport and an amazing rooftop feature that makes this a unique and romantic getaway. You and your honey can enjoy the in-house spa, the indoor pool, or simply stay in the posh rooms and be pampered.
