Walking is good for everyone and it is easy to maintain social distance. Here are great places to hike or ride your bikes!


Arthur Ray Teague PKWY Enjoy this dog friendly walking/biking trail that runs alongside the Red River In Bossier.


Bayou Bodcau Dam & Reservoir Enjoy nature trails, horseback riding, boat-ramps, fishing, hiking, camping & more!


Caney Lakes Recreation Complex Enjoy hiking, swimming & more at this Minden hidden gem!


Clyde Fant Memorial PKWY Enjoy this walking/biking dog friendly trail that runs alongside the Red River in Caddo.


Cypress Black Bayou Park & Recreation Area Enjoy their marina, swimming in the lake on their sandy beach, camping, cabins, fishing piers, a zoo, hiking trails & more!


Eddie B. Jones Park Trails & more (near Chimp Haven)

 

General Mouton Interpretive Trail Enjoy this trail located within the Mansfield Historic site battlefield in Mansfield, LA.


John Haygood Nature Trail This semi-paved Benton based trail is perfect for exploring!


Lakeshore Mountain Bike Trail Enjoy this 4.8 mile hilly hiking trail.

 

Red River National Wildlife Refuge

The property remains open during daylight hours so you can enjoy exploring and walking the trails and visit the boat landing to go fishing. Check our calendar HERE for special events such as the Saturday Story Walks and other fun programming!


R.W. Norton Art Gallery 

The museum has reopened to the public as of June 5th, garden programming is in full swing, but you DO still need to score one of those coveted tickets for these events! This is always a fun place to explore both inside and out behind the museum in  the beautiful grounds and sculpture gardens! 


Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park

The trails are OPEN* during normal park hours.  This is a great place to get out and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine and maybe learn some fun things about area wildlife and more!
