New hours of operation are coming to Sci-Port beginning Friday, August 7th.
Sci-Port will be open Friday and Saturday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Sunday, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Moving forward, Sci-Port will no longer close during the day but will clean and sanitize all areas intermittently throughout the day.
Sci-Port will continue to include an all-inclusive ticketing option for the price of $15.00.
This ticketing option includes a general admission ticket, one IMAX Dome Theater show, and depending upon availability, one FREE adventure in the Gallery of Intrigue.
| December 19th will also feature the production of a two-dimensional giant pepperkaker Olaf figure. Pepperkaker is the Norwegian version of gingerbread cookies that has been made for centuries in Northeast European countries. Two local chefs, Ryan Gillespie, a culinary arts instructor for BIPSTIL (Bossier Parish School of Technology and Innovative Learning) who is also a local ice artisan with the company, Red River Ice, and Julie DuPont, the program director for the culinary arts program at BPCC (Bossier Parish Community College), will be on hand creating the pepperkaker Olaf character. Chef DuPont will also talk about the history of pepperkaker as not only a food item but is often used to decorate homes during the holidays. The chef team will be offering a limited supply of pepperkaker cookie samples and recipes. *This is a FREE activity with your purchase of a Sci-Port Discovey Center General Admission Pass. |
Visitors will be greeted at the Clyde Fant entrance.
Each guest must register less than 100.4 temperature for admittance.
Masks must be worn for all guests 5 years of age and older.
