Shreve Memorial Library Broadmoor Branch in coordination with The Shreveport Sun Newspaper present: The Black History Month 2020 Lecture Series. 

The lecture series is being held at Broadmoor in honor of Black History Month and in conjunction with the 100th Anniversary of The Shreveport Sun Newspaper.  

Lectures will take place on Mondays, January 27 through February 24, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

Join us Monday, February 17 for "The History of African-American Music in North Louisiana." 

Music historian, acclaimed musician, and career educator Darryl Gates will speak about the history of African-American music in North Louisiana.
