By ~Mimi Rankin Webb, Publisher Macaroni KID Shreveport Bossier ~ for Moms In the Know March 11, 2025

This month is Disability Awareness Month and we are spotlighting Grown & Tell ABA, a *NEW* ABA Therapy option for our area that is accepting patients now!

Owner Tuesday Hill is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst offering ABA therapy and the mother of a soon-to-be 8 years old with special needs.

She has over 5 years of direct professional experience working with children with autism and special needs as an elementary school educator, aba therapist, and now BCBA.

The starting age to begin services is 3 years old. The clinic is brand new and spots will be extremely limited so that Tuesday can focus on quality over quantity.

Grown & Tell ABA doors will open mid-April and is currently accepting self pay clients. The clinic is in the credentialing process with multiple insurance companies and Louisiana Medicaid, meaning those clients will remain on a waiting list with first come first serve priority once Grown & Tell ABA becomes in network with their insurance.

**NOW IN NETWORK with Verity and Aetna Better Health and HealthyBlue Medicaid plans!**

In addition to individual and group ABA Therapy for children, Grown & Tell ABA will offer parent/caregiver coaching, employee workshops, as well as team building for small businesses.

Their mission is to empower individuals from all walks of life to reach their fullest potential through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services.

Through inclusive, tailored support and resources, Grown & Tell ABA strive to break down barriers and provide the tools necessary for success.

The friendly and knowledgeable therapists at Grown & Tell ABA are committed to fostering an environment where everyone, regardless of their background, can thrive and achieve their dreams.

I bet you're wondering, how do you know if ABA therapy is right for your child?

ABA therapy is highly effective for children with autism and other developmental disorders.

It can help with a variety of challenges, including improving communication skills, increasing social interactions, teaching self-care, and reducing challenging behaviors.

If your child is showing signs of developmental delays, difficulties with communication, social interactions, or behaviors that need improvement, ABA therapy may be a good fit.

A BCBA can conduct an initial assessment to determine if ABA therapy is the best approach for your child’s needs.

At Grown & Tell ABA, ABA services are offered for children ages 3 and up.

They work with individuals of all developmental stages, and their programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, from toddlers to adolescents.

Whether your child is just starting to learn basic skills or needs support with more advanced behaviors, Grown & Tell ABA has a program that will work for your family.

ABA therapy sessions typically last between 2 to 4 hours, depending on your child’s age, needs, and treatment plan.

For younger children or children who may need shorter sessions, they may start with shorter sessions and gradually increase the length as they become more comfortable and focused.

The great part about Grown & Tell ABA is that they will customize the session length to match your child's attention span and therapy goals.

Services Offered

ABA Therapy

Individual ABA Therapy: In an individual setting, ABA therapy focuses on one-on-one interventions tailored to the unique needs of the client. The therapist works directly with the individual to teach new skills, reduce problem behaviors, and improve overall functioning using personalized techniques and data-driven strategies.

Group ABA Therapy

In a group setting, ABA therapy involves working with multiple individuals at once, typically focusing on social skills, communication, and cooperative behaviors. Group sessions allow clients to practice interacting with peers, while still receiving individualized support and guidance from the therapist.

Parent/Caregiver Coaching

ABA Therapy Parent Training is designed to empower parents with the knowledge and skills needed to support their child's development at home and in everyday situations. Through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, Grown & Tell ABA can provide parents with practical strategies for addressing behaviors, enhancing communication, and fostering independence. Their training sessions are personalized, offering hands-on guidance to help parents implement effective techniques that promote positive behavior change and skill development in their child. By partnering with parents, they can ensure a consistent approach that strengthens the child’s progress and creates lasting, positive outcomes for the whole family.

School & Workplace Support

A BCBA plays a key role in team building by guiding and supporting staff to work together effectively in delivering behavior interventions. They help facilitate clear communication, ensuring that each team member understands their roles and responsibilities. The BCBA may lead training sessions to enhance skills in data collection, intervention techniques, and ethical practices. Additionally, they promote a positive, collaborative environment where team members can share ideas, problem-solve together, and ensure consistent, high-quality care for clients. Through ongoing support and feedback, the BCBA helps the team strengthen their cohesion, align their goals, and improve overall service delivery.
