The Mudbug Madness Festival began in 1984 as a two-day street festival in downtown Shreveport, and is now one of Louisiana's largest and most popular Cajun festivals, featuring renown Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and Jazz artists, mouth-watering Cajun cuisine, raucous contests, and fun for all ages.
It takes place in Festival Plaza on the Shreveport Riverfront each Memorial Day Weekend. This year, the festival will be open from 11am to 11pm daily.
Admission to the festival is free until 5pm on Friday May 26 and Children under 12 are FREE! Admission after that is $10/person or a 4 day pass for $15. Free admission available for those with a Military ID ALL WEEKEND LONG!
Friday, there will be $5 lunch specials from 11am-2pm and FREE Admission until 5pm! Happy Hour will be from 11am-7pm on Friday with $4 drinks all day long.

The Women's Crawfish Eating Contest will take place Sunday at 2:30pm on the Madness Stage.
Sign up for everything but the Celebrity Event will be in person only an hour prior to each event.
Things to Know
Various parking lots and street parking are available. FREE PARKING provided by Uhaul on the corner of Lake & Market Street and the handicap lot is accessible via Commerce Street!

Enjoy the Mudbug Madness Rewind as The Boomers & The Crawdads take the stage Thursday evening at 6:30pm. There are a limited number of reserved seating tickets available as well for the event and general admission is $10.
