Delicious local foods available at several vendors
Photographers and Artists of all ages and skills are invited to submit their work into the Sunflower Photo/Art Contest. The Contest is opened now and closes August 2, 2024. Winning Artwork will be awarded $200 and featured on the 2025 Sunflower Festival T-Shirt! Artwork must be original! Each artist may submit one design. Click Here for Rules and Entry Form.

Trail Route
Find LA Hwy 3049
From downtown Shreveport, drive north on Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway. Just north of the Casinos, Clyde Fant veers to the left and changes name to Grimmett Drive. From Grimmett Drive turn right onto LA Hwy 3049 (Dixie Shreveport Road).
Enjoy the Trail
Turn right at Old Dixie Gin and Sentell Road and drive the loop around the levee. Sentell Road circles back to Highway 3049 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, just north of Dixie. This drive features several sunflower varieties, and a field of wildflowers. Sunflowers along the Trail are expected to be in full bloom.

There is no fee
There is no hours of operation
There is not a specific address they are farm fields
The flowers are open to the public as long as they are blooming approximately (mid June-early July)
Periodical post bloom updates on their Facebook page for the updates (mid June-early July)
The trail is approximately 20 miles of Hwy 3049 between Shreveport and Gilliam.
Dogs on a leash are welcome.
