Two new “to-go” style lunch meals for children 18-years-old or younger in Shreveport.
According to NWLA Food Bank, the children’s to-go lunch meals will be served via mobile on Monday, July 13 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Columbia Park and Noel Methodist Church.
Children age 18 and under may receive meals through SFSP. A person 19 years of age and over who has a mental or physical disability (as determined by a State or local educational agency) and who participates during the school year in a public or private non- profit school program (established for the mentally or physically disabled) is also eligible to receive meals.

These “Grab and Go” meals will be distributed DAILY between 11am and 1pm at the MLK Community Center, 1341 Russell Road. The distribution requirements are the same as the Caddo public school system for children & public school students (special education included) ages 22 & under, child must be present to receive a meal.

🚨 KIDS GRAB-N-GO HOT MEALS🚨
Starting Monday, June 1, the food services will be operating Monday through Thursday.
This food program is for the families of children in Bossier Parish Schools ages 18 and under.
The meals will be first come, first serve, and anyone without a child with them in the car will have to fill out a parental consent form.
Meals on Mondays and Wednesdays will be served at Northpoint Community Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
They will serve two shelf stable meals on Mondays, and three shelf stable meals on Wednesdays.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Bellaire Baptist and First Bossier will be serving hot meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
These food services will be available until Friday, July 31.
Caddo Parish Public Schools ***ENDS JUNE 30***
Summer feeding program begins May 18 and will run through June 30th at the following 15 locations.
Meals will be provided to all eligible children without charge. Acceptance and participating requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
Caddo will host 15 sites each Monday beginning at 8:30 a.m. and continuing through 11:30 a.m. During those times, families can arrive at pickup locations to receive five breakfast and 5 lunch meals for the week. Social distancing and safety precautions will be in place in order to protect students and staff.
Linwood Charter will provide Breakfast & Lunch ONLY on Thursdays & Fridays from 9am-12pm.
Additionally, the following locations will also be offering Breakfast & Lunch: Common Ground (11-1PM Monday-Friday) & BF Martin Community Life Center (7am-1pm Monday-Friday) in Minden. Christ UMC Lunch M, W & F 11am-1pm. Shreveport Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club Thursdays 2-4pm.

The Northwest Louisiana Community Development Corporation will begin its FREE summer feeding program beginning Monday June 1st thru Friday, July 31st.

DeSoto Parish Schools will offer Breakfast and Lunch for students through curbside service and satellite method in cooperation with local churches.
Meals will be prepared at school sites and shipped out to outlying communities.
Children may pick up both meals during the meal service time.

As of 3/26 newly formed program authorized by Mayor Dr. Johnny Cox and Will of God Ministries will begin. Will of God Ministries Food Pantry is dropping off 200-400 hot lunches provided by Northwest Food Bank of LA for children throughout the city limits of Coushatta on a daily basis at 12 pm. For families who do not reside inside city limits, you are invited by Will of God Ministries to stop by the Old Grade School from 11 AM-12 PM, to pick up lunch.
Children (Students) ages 0-22 may get meals from any feeding site. Feeding sites are:

Open on Fridays and Tuesdays 11-1. Each time you come you will get enough meals for each child to last you until our next open date. For example, on Friday you will get Friday's meals, your backpack meals for the weekend, and Mondays meals. On Tuesdays you will get meals for Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday for each child.
Monthly Assistance Program: Clients that meet the USDA poverty guidelines may register for monthly food assistance given out on the 3rd Saturday of every month + 1 additional meal during the holidays provided by our Feed A Family Program. Households of 1-2 people receive 1 bag (approx 45 lbs), 3-4 people 2 bags, 5-6 people 3 bags and so on. See Guidelines/Income Chart HERE
