By Sara Kleinecke, Marketing Coordinator June 15, 2017

The heat is on across the Ark-La-Tex and the coolest place to be all summer long is Splash Kingdom Waterpark in Shreveport.  The local waterpark is gearing up for this year’s World’s Largest Swimming Lesson. The event will take place at Splash Kingdom on Thursday, June 22nd at 10am. The swim lesson is FREE to anyone ages 3 and up. You can pre-register through Wednesday, June 21st or register the morning of the event from 9am-945am. Splash Kingdom is partnering with The Swim School to provide instructors for the 30-minute swimming lesson. Gates open at 930am on June 22nd. The swim lesson will be from 10am-1030am. If you want to stay and play in the park when it opens at 11am you can buy a $10 plus tax ticket at the window on event day.

All summer long you can swim at Splash Kingdom during some of their special events. Every Tuesday through August 8th is Toddler Tuesday from 9am-1030am. Children ages 5 and under can play at the Splash Pad with their guardian for just $5 plus tax each. The $5 rate also applies to Season Pass holders since it’s a private event before the park opens.  Stay after Toddler Tuesday for just $10 plus tax per person.  The waterpark also hosts Wednesday Family Nights through August 9th from 5pm-9pm. Admission is only $10 plus tax per person. You can also come early on Wednesdays and pay regular admission but still stay late. $10 admission only valid 5pm-9pm on Wednesday nights.

During the month of June discount tickets are available locally at select Brookshire’s and Super One Foods as well as the Louisiana Boardwalk and Red Chute Chiropractic in Haughton. Make it a summer of splash!
