Tourism Celebration Means Big Rewards for Locals

The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau has launched a month-long campaign called โ€œBe a Fan of Shreveport-Bossier,โ€ which invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy money-saving offers during the month of May while getting to know all of the fun things to see, do and experience in Shreveport-Bossier. Visit the website at www.BeaFanofSB.com to browse all of the offers, which include buy-one-get-one-free discounts and free admission passes from local attractions like museums, zoos, festivals and more. While youโ€™re there, enter to win a package including free admission coupons from local attractions and gift certificates from great local restaurants.

There are lots of other ways to โ€œbe a fanโ€ of Shreveport-Bossier during the month of May. Free prizes will be given away during the Downtown Artwalk Scavenger Hunt on Wednesday, May 3. The free scavenger hunt will take place during the monthly Downtown Shreveport Artwalk, 5-8 p.m., and will begin in the lobby of the Remington Suite Hotel at 220 Travis Street in downtown Shreveport. Prizes for participants will include free tickets to local attractions, gift certificates from local restaurants and more. To join in the scavenger hunt, sign up at Remington Suite Hotel beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3.

Prizes will also be handed out during the Be a Fan Downtown City Tour that will be held, 1-4 p.m., Saturday, May 13. The tour will begin at Shreveport Municipal Auditorium and will include fun, educational stops at tourist attractions in downtown Shreveport. Cost to attend the tour is $10 per person and tickets may be purchased online at www.SBFunGuide.com by selecting the date May 13.
