Bossier Parish Libraries serves all in the community

By Vickie Hardin, Associate Director of Public Relations March 16, 2017

Once or twice each year I like to promote BPL’s Homebound Services, a free means of delivering library items directly to your residence. This service could be very helpful if you, or someone you know, cannot travel from home to the library without assistance.

With Homebound Services you will receive: up to three (3) items per delivery; a checkout period of 30 days; adult and children’s materials in print or audio excluding reference items, DVDs, magazines, or History Center items. Library materials will be delivered directly to your home or mailed with an extra stamped self-addressed return packet.

As with all patrons, overdue fines as well as charges for damaged or lost items will be charged to the user’s account if they are not returned by the due date in good condition.
A Reader Request Form will accompany each delivery to ensure you get the titles and/or authors you prefer.

Whether you require Homebound Services temporarily or long term, BPL is happy to meet your needs. Call any of our eight (8) locations or go to the BPL website at to view the Homebound Service Policy.

BPL, transforming communities!
